Test Alarm
The Test alarm feature lets you put your site on test so you can check your alarm system without your control room actioning the signals. While a test is active, alarms from your site will not be dispatched or responded to — they're treated as expected test activity.
Find it under More → Advanced setup → Test alarm (Advanced setup sits in the My site section of the More tab). It's available to the site owner and admins, and only appears when your security company runs the supporting control-room capabilities on the CleverCam platform (CRM, advanced alarm handling, or third-party alarm receivers).
Starting a test
- Open More → Advanced setup → Test alarm.
- Tap Start test (1 hour).
The test runs for up to one hour and then ends on its own. You can start a test once every 24 hours.
If you've already started a test in the last 24 hours, the app will tell you to wait. This stops a site from being left on test by accident.
While on test
Whenever your site is on test, a prominent Site on test banner appears at the top of the Home screen, showing the time the test ends. You can end the test early at any time:
- Tap End test on the Home banner, or
- Open More → Advanced setup → Test alarm and tap End test now.
Once you end the test (or the hour is up), your site returns to normal monitoring and alarms are actioned again.
