Reviews

The Reviews tab shows the star ratings and comments your customers leave through the customer account portal. It's a read-mostly view for keeping an eye on customer sentiment -- the only action available is hiding or unhiding an individual review.

Accessing Reviews​

  1. Navigate to Performance & Reports in the sidebar.
  2. Click the Reviews tab.
CRM module required

The Reviews tab only appears when this VCR has the CRM module enabled (has_crm_module). If you don't see it, ask an administrator to enable the CRM module for your VCR in Company Admin. Super admins in Super Admin mode always see the tab regardless of the flag, so they can check review data on any VCR without needing the module switched on first.

What's shown​

  • Average rating -- the mean star rating across all currently published reviews, with a star-icon rendering of the rounded score.
  • Distribution -- a 5-to-1-star breakdown bar showing how many published reviews fall at each rating.
  • Review list -- every review for this VCR (published and hidden), newest first, showing the star rating, the customer's comment (if left blank, shows as empty), the reviewer's name (or "Anonymous" if not supplied), and the date submitted.

Hidden reviews stay in the list (shown at reduced opacity) so you can find and unhide them later -- hiding never deletes data.

Moderating a review​

Each row has a Hide / Unhide button:

  • Hide removes a review from the average rating and distribution calculations (both of which only consider published reviews) and marks it hidden. Use this for spam, reviews that name individual staff inappropriately, or anything that shouldn't factor into your headline rating.
  • Unhide restores a previously hidden review to published, folding it back into the average and distribution.

There is no delete action -- moderation is reversible by design, and every review stays visible to VCR staff on this page regardless of its status. Reviews are never shown to other customers or to any VCR other than the one they were left for.

Where reviews come from​

Reviews originate from the customer account portal ("Rate my {VCR name}" prompt) and are written to the vcr_reviews table (source, rating 1-5, comment, reviewer_name, status). This tab is a straight read/moderate view over that table -- there's no separate reviews API or aggregation view.
