What is CleverOps?
CleverOps is the web-based operations hub for security companies using the CleverCam ecosystem. It provides a centralized dashboard where you can manage every aspect of a security operation -- sites, hubs, control room operators, response teams, geographic areas, communities, and more. Whether you run a small residential monitoring service or a large commercial security company, CleverOps gives you the tools to coordinate your entire operation from one place.
Core Concepts
Virtual Control Rooms (VCRs)
Everything in CleverOps is organized around Virtual Control Rooms (VCRs). A VCR represents a distinct control room or operational unit within your company. Think of it as a grouping of all the resources -- sites, operators, response teams -- that belong to one operational division.
A single company can have multiple VCRs. For example, a security company that covers two cities might set up one VCR for each city, each with its own operators, response units, and sites.
Sites
A site is a physical location that your company monitors -- a residential home, office building, retail store, or any other premises. Sites connect to your VCR and can have cameras, hubs, and monitoring policies configured.
Hubs
Clever Hubs are the hardware devices installed at sites. They connect cameras and sensors to the CleverCam platform, enabling remote monitoring, event detection, and video streaming.
Operators and Responders
Operators are your control room staff who monitor camera feeds and handle events through CleverCommand. Responders are your field personnel who are dispatched to sites when incidents occur.
