Profile
The Profile page holds your Virtual Control Room's identity: its name, whether CleverAlert users can discover it, where it operates, the currency it works in, and the public description shown to people browsing for a control room. Deleting a VCR also happens here.
Settings is organised as a grouped navigation rail on the left — Profile sits under Workspace, together with Branding (logo and colours), Billing entities (legal identity, accounts contact, VAT), Contact details (public numbers, reply-to routing and Telegram) and CleverCam subscription. A Find a setting… box at the top of the rail filters the navigation by what a setting is about — typing "vat", "logo" or "chat id" surfaces the right entry even when the entry name never mentions it. Press Enter to open the first match.
Accessing Your Profile
- Navigate to Settings in the sidebar.
- Select Profile under the Workspace heading.
Control room profile
Virtual Control Room Name
The display name for your Virtual Control Room, shown in the sidebar and across the platform. Edit the field and click away to save.
Public visibility
Whether CleverAlert app users can discover this control room and request to join it. Flipping the switch asks for confirmation first — Make control room public or Hide control room (existing connections keep working) — before the change is saved. The same toggle also appears on the Dashboard.
Service area & currency
Provinces
A grid showing all South African provinces. Click to toggle which provinces your Virtual Control Room services. At least one province should be selected.
Country
The country where your Virtual Control Room operates. Defaults to South Africa. Type or search to change.
Currency
The currency your control room operates in. Defaults to South African Rand (R), with the other CleverCam markets available — Zambian Kwacha, Zimbabwean Dollar, Kenyan Shilling, Ugandan Shilling — plus US Dollar. This drives how Fleet fuel cost and spend are formatted (Equipment → Vehicles), so a control room outside South Africa sees its own currency symbol rather than rands. Saves as soon as you pick a value.
Public description
A Markdown description of your control room, shown to CleverAlert app users browsing for a control room. The editor has a formatting toolbar and a live preview tab. Saves when you click away.
Delete VCR
The danger zone at the bottom of the page. Deletion is only available to a company owner (or a super admin in super-admin mode), and only once all three linked counts — site connections, responders, and hubs — are zero. The card shows the live counts and states plainly whether delete is currently possible. Deleting asks for confirmation and cannot be undone.
Where did the rest go?
The old Profile page held everything; it was split in July 2026 so each page covers one concern:

Updating Profile Details
Fields on the Profile page save automatically when you click away. Changes take effect immediately.
