Location Panic & Emergency Profile

Location Panic (also called Mobile Geo Panic) sends a panic straight to your control room from wherever you physically are, using your phone's live GPS position -- not the address of one of your sites. It's a separate option from the on-site Panic Response button: Panic Response reports an emergency at a site, while Location Panic follows you.

Whether you have it is your security company's call, and only theirs:

  1. Your control room offers location panic AND allows it for you. Each control room first opts in to offering location panic at all, then either makes it the default for everyone on its sites or grants it per person. Only control rooms that have opted in appear as destinations -- if one of your sites is monitored by several companies, you can only send a location panic to the ones that offer it. When a control room gives you location panic, the button simply appears. There is nothing to enrol in, nothing to submit, and nothing to approve.
  2. At least one of your connected sites has a linked hub (of any type). A site with no other hub can carry the Panic App hub for this.

If none of your control rooms allow location panic for you, the option doesn't appear in the Emergency panel at all. Ask your security company -- it's one setting on their side, and there's nothing to configure on yours.

Your Emergency Profile​

Under More → Account → My emergency profile you can keep everything a responder wants to know the moment you raise any emergency -- on-site or location:

  • a photo of your face, so a responder recognises you before they reach you (a real photo, not your avatar);
  • medical alerts -- chronic conditions, allergies, blood group, mobility, and current medication, picked from chips or typed;
  • an emergency contact and, optionally, your doctor;
  • your vehicle -- registration, make, model, colour, and a photo; and
  • anything else responders should know (gate code, dogs, where the spare key is).

Everything is optional and nothing is reviewed -- save it and it's live. The profile is shared with your security company's control room and the responder on their way to you, and never sent in messages or reports. Your control room can also fill it in for you on their side; whoever saved last wins.

A completeness bar shows what's still missing, and an "Add your photo & medical alerts" card appears on Home and in the Emergency panel until the photo and medical alerts are in -- tap it to jump straight to the profile.

In the Emergency Panel​

When your control room allows location panic, the Emergency panel (the shield icon in the header) shows a red My Location Panic button directly below Panic Response, with the subtitle "Sends and keeps sharing your live GPS position". Like the other emergency buttons it carries a star -- starring it adds a Location panic tile to your Home favourites, fired with the same 3-second press-and-hold as the other emergency tiles.

If more than one of your control rooms allows it, a picker asks which one to send to. The panic fires immediately -- there is no countdown or confirmation step, so only tap it when you mean to.

Your phone's current GPS position is captured at the moment you send. If a location fix can't be obtained (location permission denied, GPS unavailable), the send is cancelled with an error asking you to check location permissions -- it will not send without a position.

The Panic-First Home​

If your only device is the Panic App (no cameras, no alarm panel), Home doesn't show empty camera sections -- the screen is the button:

  • One large SOS button. Hold it for about 2 seconds to send -- a ring fills while you hold, and lifting your finger early cancels with nothing sent.
  • The SOS sends a panic for your site, and -- when your control room's policy allows location panic -- it also attaches and keeps sharing your live GPS position, so responders find you even if you're not at the address. The label under the button says exactly what it will do.
  • After it fires, the screen shows a Panic sent banner with the time, a Call control room button (your security company's number), and Stop sharing to end the location stream. Stopping the stream never cancels the panic itself -- the control room keeps handling the event.
  • Fire, Medical and Armed response sit quietly underneath, each fired with a 3-second hold.

Live Location Sharing​

After a location panic (or a panic-first SOS with location), CleverAlert shares your live position with the control room roughly every 20 seconds while the app stays open, so responders can follow you as you move. Sharing stops automatically when:

  • your control room resolves the event -- the app detects this and stops on its own;
  • you tap Stop sharing -- this only ends the location stream from your device; the panic event itself stays with the control room and is still being handled; or
  • 60 minutes have passed -- a safety cap that ends sharing even if nothing else has stopped it.

Live sharing is foreground-only: it runs while the app is open, and does not use a background service. If the app is closed mid-panic, the control room keeps your last received position and continues handling the event.

What the Control Room Sees​

Your panic arrives with a snapshot of your emergency profile -- photo, medical alerts, vehicle, emergency contact -- next to your live position. The operator and the dispatched responder both see it, which is exactly why the profile is worth two minutes of your time.
